Greg Klein brings a diverse mix of pharmaceutical industry expertise, reimbursement/distribution knowledge coupled with strategic consulting capabilities. As head of Strategic Operations for a leading healthcare consulting company Greg helped Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Device companies address their unique tactical and strategic challenges of marketing new and existing products.
His expertise includes working extensively with product launch strategy, reimbursement operations, sales and marketing effectiveness. Additionally, Mr. Klein has extensive experience in specialty distribution, strategy and delivery of customer relationship management (CRM) programs and supporting organizational alignment and technologies.
Selected Engagements
- Responsible for the redesign, development, and implementation of the industries largest reimbursement support program for a biotechnology agent. Managed 275 employees, $20M in revenue, and a seven person management staff across multiple sub teams focusing on reimbursement, process, communication, provider/patient web portal technology and business intelligence. Created a proactive, accountable approach to superior customer service and efficient utilization of resources for the 2007 insurance renewal period. Program integrated innovative communication methods with providers and payers.
- Managed the creation of a $5M reimbursement and distribution program to facilitate patient’s access to therapy. Engagement focused on reimbursement strategy, marketing, specialty distribution, and product support functions for a new specialty injectable product launch. Role involved working with a cross-functional client team and managing both specialty pharmacy/distribution and reimbursement vendors.
- Developed customer and organizational strategies for a large life science company to realize top-line growth of over 30% by 2005. Determined the optimal deployment of resources and sales and marketing support to mitigate risk against a competitive product launch and to exploit growth opportunities across existing and launch products. Developed institutional management procedures for the Department of Defense’s Deployment Health Support program. This project focused on the efficient medical processing, tracking, and treatment of deployed and returning overseas personnel from a US-based force projection platform
